Parakai Springs - Partners with North West Security for Reliable, Affordable Patrols

We’re proud to announce that Parakai Springs has chosen North West Security as their new security provider, following growing frustration with their previous contractor.

The management at Parakai Springs shared that their former provider regularly missed scheduled patrols, and when they did show up, it was often just a quick drive-through with no visible presence. Alarm responses were especially concerning, sometimes taking nearly two hours—a delay that posed significant risk to the property and staff.

"The gap between what we were paying for and what we were getting was miles apart, and when they were called out for an alarm activation it took nearly 2 hours for them to get to site. This was unacceptable," said the site manager.

Since North West Security took over, we’ve been delivering nightly security patrols that are consistent, visible, and responsive. Our team is now on-site within 10 minutes of any alarm activation—offering real peace of mind to both staff and owners.

At North West Security, we’re committed to more than just patrols—we’re here to strengthen the fabric of our local business community. That’s why we recently hosted a Business Security Meeting in partnership with the North West Country Business Association, the Community Patrol, and local Police.

The goal? To bring businesses together in one forum where they could listen, speak, and collaborate on improving safety and reducing crime across our region.

An Open and Honest Discussion

The forum provided local businesses with a rare opportunity to voice their concerns directly. Many attendees shared a common theme: they felt unsupported and isolated in their efforts to deal with after-hours crime, vandalism, and theft.

The Police gave a candid update on local crime statistics and acknowledged the challenges they face with limited resources, but assured everyone that they are doing all they can to support the community.

A Clear Message: Unity Brings Strength

At North West Security, we emphasized a key point: when businesses work together, private security becomes more affordable and more effective. A constant, visible security presence overnight can be a strong deterrent—but it requires collaboration to keep costs manageable.

We're now working alongside local businesses to create tailored security packages that are both cost-effective and built around real community needs.

The police also shared practical tips on how businesses can harden their sites against crime—ranging from better lighting and CCTV coverage, to securing high-risk areas and reporting suspicious behaviour promptly.

The forum was very well received, with many business owners expressing appreciation for the opportunity to connect, share concerns, and hear directly from security professionals and police alike.
